'The Warm Winds of Dallas' is a stunning new country-tinged tootsie-tapping tribute to JFK from the UK's Dave King, a song and artist both poised to dip a toe, if not drop a dumpling, into the bubbling gumbo that is the world of music. 'Warm Winds' is a rib-stickingly robust rock ballad with a gentle good ol' down-home feel, enhanced as it is with harmonica and Hammond, all smothered in the King's 'campfire choir' smokey backing vocalisms. A contemplative, almost mystical tale in which the Spirit of JFK drifts, sad and perplexed, over the Texas city where, way back in November 1963, a double-shot of fate frankly ruined the rest of his afternoon. After a while spent reflecting on his former time and triumphs on Earth, the Spirit of JFK is finally set free to journey forth to its next calling; and the echo of his memory fills the dawn's empty streets with gladness. Well, hey!
